Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with an award for the Best Report of the year Award for the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss America's Pageant as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
